Item 8.01. Other Events.

At a meeting of the Board of Directors of United Fire Group, Inc. (the "Company" or "UFG") held on August 20, 2021, the directors declared a $0.15 per share quarterly cash dividend, which will be paid September 17, 2021 to common stock shareholders of record as of September 3, 2021. A copy of the Company’s related press release is attached as Exhibit 99.1 to this Current Report on Form 8-K.
