Item 2.02. Results of Operations and Financial Condition

On April 22, 2021, Central Valley Community Bancorp issued a press release containing unaudited financial information and
accompanying discussion for the quarter and three months ended March 31, 2021. The press release is attached as Exhibit 99.1 to this Current Report on Form 8-K and incorporated herein by reference.

Item 8.01. Other Events

On April 21, 2021 the Board of Directors of Central Valley Community Bancorp declared a $0.12 per share cash dividend
payable on May 21, 2021 to shareholders of record as of May 7, 2021.

The information in this Form 8-K filed on April 22, 2021 shall not be deemed “filed” for purposes of Section 18 of the
