Petrobras on S-10 Diesel record sales

Rio de Janeiro, April 1, 2021 – Petróleo Brasileiro S.A – Petrobras informs that in March it recorded total diesel sales in the amount of 791 thousand bpd, representing growths of 35% and 17% when compared to sales in the same month of 2020 and 2019, respectively.

Also in March 2021, Petrobras surpassed the sales record for S-10 Diesel, with low sulfur content, reaching 416 thousand bpd. This figure exceeds the previous record of 407 thousand bpd, set in October 2020, by 2%.

In March, despite three mandatory refinery shutdowns for maintenance, Petrobras' refining park reached a utilization factor of 80.2%, contributing decisively for these results.

The record sales of S-10 Diesel and the growth in total Diesel sales reflect the commercial and operational actions implemented by the company in order to mitigate the effects of the Covid-19 pandemic on fuel demand and the successful efforts to expand the supply of the product with lower sulfur content, replacing the S-500 Diesel.
