MATERIAL FACT
COMPANHIA SIDERÚRGICA NACIONAL ("Company" or "CSN"), pursuant to the provision of CVM Instruction No. 358/2002, as amended, informs its shareholders and the market in general, that it is monitoring the developments of the COVID-19 pandemic and the impacts on its business where it operates.
In this context, the Company informs that a temporary shutdown of Blast Furnace 2 was planned for today, which has a capacity of 1.5 million tons per year, aiming to adapt steel production to market demand.
The other units of the Company and its subsidiaries in Brazil, Germany and Portugal continue with their normalized activities, with no material operational impacts, respecting the restrictions imposed by local authorities.
The Company will continue to monitor the situation, keeping the market informed of any relevant new developments.
