Item 5.02. Departure of Directors or Certain Officers; Election of Directors; Appointment of Certain Officers; Compensatory Arrangements of Certain Officers.

On May 5, 2020, ASLAN Pharmaceuticals Limited (the “Company”) and Mark McHale, the Company’s Chief Development Officer, mutually agreed that Dr McHale will step down from the Company effective May 31, 2020, and return to the UK for personal reasons. Dr McHale will continue in his role through May 31, 2020 and will then serve as an advisor to the Company for the ASLAN004 program.

The Company has engaged in a search for a Chief Medical Officer based in the US in line with the Company’s intention to initiate a global phase 2b program for ASLAN004 in early 2021.
