Item 8.01 Other Events
On April 22, 2020, Aviat Networks, Inc. (the “Company”) received proceeds from a loan in the amount of $5,911,000 (the “PPP Loan”) from Silicon Valley Bank as the lender (the “Lender”), pursuant to the Small Business Association (the “SBA”) Paycheck Protection Program (the “PPP”) of the Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security Act. At the time when the Company applied for the PPP Loan, it had qualified to receive the funds pursuant to the then published qualification requirements.
On April 23, 2020, the SBA, in consultation with the Department of Treasury, issued new guidance regarding qualification requirements for public companies. Based on the Company’ assessment of the new guidance, on May 1, 2020, it has determined to repay the principal and interest on the PPP Loan on or before May 7, 2020.
